I want you to catch a lot of fish. To me, that is what it is all about.

I will work hard to make sure your trip is enjoyable, that you catch fish and your trip is guaranteed.

The Boat: 2017 Pathfinder 2600 HPS.

I operate a 2017 Pathfinder 2600 HPS equipped with a 300 Horse Power Yamaha 4 stroke salt water motor. It has a hard top to get out of the warm desert sun. It is absolutely top of the line in quality and craftsmanship.

It is over 26 feet in length with a 106 inch beam it is by far the largest, most comfortable and best equipped charter boat in the area. It has plenty of room to move around and fish from.

The Electric Trolling Motor is a 36 volt Minn Kota Ultera with 112 pounds of thrust and I-Pilot controller.

Some of the great features include Trim tabs, 60 quart custom made ice chest, 320 quart macerated fish slam, and over 100 gallons of live well space.

Lake Mead Vegas Fishing Equipment

I provide good quality fishing rods for an enjoyable fishing experience. They are all graphite. Graphite is lighter and more sensitive than fiberglass or composite rods like the Ugly Stik. This helps to reduce fatigue for the fisherman during a day of casting and it helps to detect more bites when bait fishing.

Spinning Reels, are provided for all trips. They are manufactured by Mitchell and are very smooth due to the 8 ball bearings.

Bait Casting reels are provided during jigging season. They include Abu-Garcia 4500, 5500 and 6500 series reels as well as some Bass Pro Shops brands.

Las Vegas Fishing Information

Lake Mead Fishing License

When fishing within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, each person who is 14 years of age or older must possess a Nevada Fishing License. The cost of a one day non resident license is $18.00.
They must also possess a Nevada Colorado River Special Use Stamp which cost $3.00.
Licenses must be purchased prior to the trips departure. Your options to purchase are:

  1. Buy locally at Bass Pro shops or Wal Mart.
  2. Purchase on line at www.ndow.org. This is not available to people who do not posess a US social security number.
  3. Call the toll free number 24 hours/ 7 days a week. Easiest option in my opinion. 1-866-703-4605.

What is included in the cost of your trip?

  • All Bait and tackle.
  • Bottled water.
  • Fish filleting should you wish to keep your catch.
  • A fun filled memorable trip.

Transporting your catch home

Many of my customers take their catch home with them. After filleting, I put your fish into 1 gallon Ziploc bags. From that point I have herd of a couple of methods to get them home. One is that the traveler takes a soft sided ice chest with them and packs the fish into that bag with ice which is contained in a plastic bag. They then use it as a personal carry on piece of luggage. The other is to use a hard sided case and use it as checked baggage. You may not use dry ice to package your items as it is a prohibited chemical. What ever you decide, contact your carrier to find out what specific rules they have in relation to either method.

What should you bring?

  • Sun glasses
  • Sun screen
  • Your fishing license
  • A hat, cap or visor
  • Clothing appropriate to the seasonal weather
  • A snack or lunch for longer trips

Transportation

Your options are to hire a transportation company to pick you up in a Limo or Van which is very expensive.
Call a taxi – although it is only about 30 miles from the major hotels I have heard some of my customers who choose this option paying upwards of $125 for two people going one direction.

Rent a car which I suggest. some of my customers have paid as little as $40 for a 24 hour rental by planning ahead and shopping around. This also gives you the flexibility to see some of the sights like Hoover Dam which is about 7 miles from our meeting spot or Valley of Fire State Park.

Many of my clients have been using Uber with very good results and at reasonable cost. Around $35 each direction seems to be the average. If you use this service, make arrangements with your driver for pick up at the end of your trip to be sure that somebody will be there. There have been instances when there is not a service person in the area when the return ride is needed. Prior arrangements assures there is no problem.
